Lindy Steals the Spotlight: A Shopping Event to Remember at Kendra Scott
Lindy Steals the Spotlight: A Shopping Event
to Remember at Kendra Scott
First, let me start out by saying that the Store Manager and Employees working on Saturday at Kendra Scott were absolutely amazing. Not only did they let us have this event to get exposure for Lindy and Second Chance Rescue as a whole, but they also donated 20% of whatever was purchased from 12pm-2pm that Saturday and 20% that was sold on the Kenda Scott website the entire weekend. To add the literal icing on the cake, the Store Manager also setup some tasty looking refreshments to add a little bit more to the event. Again, we couldn’t have been better taken care of and we appreciate you all so much!
Not Everyone Was Thrilled at First
Walking into a luxury jewelry store with a dog—especially a rescue pit bull—can sometimes raise a few eyebrows. And that’s exactly what happened when we first arrived. We noticed a few customers giving us less-than-warm glances, unsure of why a dog was in their shopping space. We’re used to it—sometimes people don’t understand why we bring dogs into public places. But we also know that one interaction can change everything. The Unexpected Connection That Changed the Mood
Then, out of nowhere, an unlikely customer walked in, locked eyes with Lindy, and completely melted.Without hesitation, she showered Lindy with love, rubbing her ears, cooing over her sweet face, and genuinely appreciating every second of their interaction. When Lindy’s Bark Caught the Attention of a Mall Shopper
But the most heartwarming moment of the day? That came when Lindy let out a single bark. She leaned into him, tail wagging, absolutely soaking in every second of attention. It was one of those pure, magical moments—proof of how powerful the connection between humans and rescue dogs can be.
Lindy’s Happy Ending
Lindy had an amazing day—she was loved, adored, and reminded that she is worthy of all the affection in the world. To see this special girl, who has a few quirks… she doesn’t like a lot of commotion or new dogs, and to see her thrive in this foreign and somewhat scary space, shows us that she is ready for anything! She not only had a good day, she had a day that speaks volumes of her adaptability and willingness to do what it takes to find her forever home. For More Information About Lindy... Click HERE!

Transporting dogs is our passion but passions come at a cost. With the price of everything increasing, (gas, tolls, supplies, etc) we could use some help! If you can, we would graciously accept some donation assistance. Venmo @dalind31
